Product Versions

Purchasing a particular version of a product (eg. v6.x) entitles you to be the registered owner of any incremental release of that version (eg v6.0 - v6.9).

The table below lists the current version and release dates of our registered products. The release notes lists all incremental changes, bug fixes, etc and can be found in the history.txt file. Check here regularly to see if your product has been updated. If the update does not affect you then we suggest you probably do not need to install the newer version.

1.Jetpack v6.1 (included in v6.2 release) requires DAO 3.6 (the Microsoft Jet 4.0 database engine) to be installed on your system. This is included with Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 3. Among other fixes and upgrades this includes support for Access 2000 databases. The Visual Studio and DAO 3.6 runtime files can also be downloaded directly from our web site here. If you are using a development platform other than Visual Studio you will also need to have the Jetpack core files, available here.

2.Jetpack v6.2 requires ADO 2.5 to be installed on your system. This is included with Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 3. Among other fixes and upgrades this includes Microsoft Data Access Component 2.5 (MDAC).
Jetpack Professional v6.2 includes Jetpack v6.1.
All v6.2 controls also include the v6.1equivalent controls.

Note: It is recommended that you install Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 5. This includes upgraded Data Access objects and MDAC (2.5) as well as a number of important fixes.

Help Files

The Jetpack product includes a technical help file, Jetpack6.hlp, for the developer as well as a how-to help file that can be distributed to the end-user of any application you develop. The how-to files are offered as a combined file, Jetpack.hlp, and as separate files for each individual control.

The Jetpack installation includes Jetpack6.hlp and Jetpack.hlp. The individual controls installation includes the specific help file for that control eg Queryer.hlp.
